Please keep Texas National FOP State Trustee Ken Starrs and his wife Karen in your thoughts and prayers.
Ken and his wife are both in the hospital after their home caught fire early this morning. Ken is suffering from smoke inhalation and is expected to be released soon. Karen received 2nd degree burns on 30% of her body. She was flown to Brooks Army Hospital in San Antonio where she is responsive and sedated.
Their house is a complete loss. Preliminary indications are the Karen will be in the hospital for 60 days which will cause even more financial burden as Ken will need housing in San Antonio during Karen’s recovery.
President Canterbury has authorized the National FOP Foundation to be used to accept donations for the Starrs’ family.
